So, now on to other purpose. This image is of questionable value to anyone but me and hopefully a few others whose work is on the covers, or who make cameos in the poems, which is likely most of my friends. These are all the books I’ve produced over the years, and I’ve gathered them all for a reading tonight at the Black Mountain College Museum. It was challenging to find a few to read that I could stand to read aloud now, not because of excessively personal material, etc., because what isn’t, but my uses of language tended toward the ... let’s say mangled obfuscation. It made sense at the time. There’s a slogan to live by. In any case, I’m happy I was working, but it would be great if the writing was good. Who cares though. What’s the point finally beyond engagement, glibly, something to do, something to bring to dinner. This rainy week has had a nice grounding effect, and the flowers are almost grotesque in their lush proliferation. It’s good to bloom when you can.
